That's right, we're teaming up with the incredibly talented Four Finger Five for another night of fun. This time we're taking the photobooth out to the brand new Club Envy Muskegon where Four Finger Five is having their CD release party for the new album 2:22. You'll be able to pick up the CD for only FIVE BUCKS at the show.

Saturday the 20th will also be the Grand Opening for Club Envy Muskegon. Envy is a new venue in Muskegon that will focus on live entertainment and a wide variety of acts. From what I've heard the setup is closely compared to The Intersection in Grand Rapids. The venue is located at 441 W. Western Ave in Muskegon.

Before Four Finger Five takes the stage, Theo Katzman and Funktion will be warming things up. I've also heard there will be some other special surprises, as well as the Miller Coors Girls making an appearance.

The best part of the whole thing is the special giveaway we are going to be doing the week following the show. Check out the video below for details!

She wanted to get a spot on our blog, so here's what she had to say:

If you are looking for something to make your wedding the event your guests will never forget - hire The Photobooth Company. Our friends and family are still talking about how fun it was. In fact, our friends are using them in their weddings now! We LOVE the book with everyone's pictures and notes. It is such a great way to remember the night! The strips are some of the best pictures we got all night - they are us being ourselves and having a blast!

The staff was amazing! We didn't have to worry about anything when it came to them! I recommend this to any bride! It was the best decision we made for our wedding! Make this fit in your budget - you will NOT regret it!

Their wedding was a blast, and had what may be one of the most creative uses of each photo yet!

I stumbled across the brilliant website Formspring today via Shauna. The premise behind the site is you get to answer random questions. Seemed a little weird at first, but trying to come up with witty answers to random questions quickly became addicting.

So far my favorite question has been:

Can i have a job? I'll work for 6 cans of pork and beans a week!

Absolutely! You realize that's well below minimum wage? And I hope you plan to supplement your diet with more than just pork and beans. Because, let's face it.. if you're only eating pork and beans you're probably going to smell pretty bad.

And because I don't like posts that lack a picture, here's a picture of some brownies I recently made.

Looking to do a photobooth on your own and save some cash? Be sure to head over here and check out how one bride managed to do a photobooth on their own.

I like the idea and execution of this DIY setup, but she dosn't mention how they got the photostrip effect.

The biggest thing to take from this site is this quote:

Having people there to run the photobooth was key to its success. It is not something guests can do themselves.

Ever since I can remember I'd always dreamed of one day starting my own business. But it couldn't just be any business, it had to be fun and different than anything else.

I looked to several other companies for inspiration and for a different way of looking at business. Some of the companies that influenced where I am today is Patagonia, 37Signals, Apple, Bonobos, and Zappos. These were companies that were doing things differently and changing each of their industries.

I've always looked to create a business that doesn't necessarily require me to be there all the time. One that could quite possibly be so incredibly unique that people would be talking about it long after having experienced it for the first time. Then because of that stunningly unique experience come back to use it again and again.

My hope is that The Photobooth Company will continue to fit that description of a remarkable business.

What do you think? How are we doing?

What are some ways that you can set yourself apart from those in your industry, or even your daily job?

How SEO Can Make A Difference On Your Website

SE What?!

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization can make a big impact on your website traffic. Head over to SEOmoz for a great starter resource.

We got some help from a friend with it back in 2008. It's been a year now and I was curious to see how it has changed traffic for us. Based on google analytics it's really evened out traffic sources for us.

The best part? All of that new search traffic is free! Adwords traffic is not included (our campaigns are currently on hold for another expierment), it's all organic. So the largest part of our traffic is coming directly from google, for free. That's pretty cool.

Another advantage of good SEO? Do a search for photobooth company or photo booth company. We're listed as number one.

So over the holiday, it might be worth your time to get up to speed on SEO. Or, in our case, find a friend who's a pro.

It seems you'd want to make things as easy as possible for your visitors, right?

Evidently not.

I think this sort of thing plagues a large portion of the wedding industry. You need to talk to them or send them an email just to see their pricing and options. Why?

Sure some people may argue that they hide their pricing so that competition can't steal their price structure. Seems silly since the competitor can just pose as a prospective client and just get your pricing that way.

I'd love to hear some feedback from you about this. Does it annoy you when you can't see prices right away?

This whole post was spurred on from this blog post.
